i recently registered at Skype, and i saw this neat application (in beta) called Skypecasts, it’s like podcasting except that it is live and there are no parts that are editted.
you can join a skypecast as a speaker (if the host/s allowed it) or a listener. the difference from this being a conference is that, uhm.. people would not talk all at once, and the basic idea that it’s a broadCast means that it would not have some random topic, some would definitely listen and some would host the Show. pretty neat simple concept.
i think it would be fun if we had one, actually i already created one, i wanted to try it out, it goes live on April 2, 2007 - Monday, 9:00pm. If i get about 5 listeners, we would probably talk about things happening down at people.dlscanlubang.org, i’ll get Dodong to talk about some of the topics down there.
Download Skype and register, then join the Skypecast - LSC Cloudwatch on the date stated above.
If you don’t have a mic, don’t worry, you can still listen.
