I used "amlynr" and "Amlyn Rey" when I googled myself. For me, the better results were this new one because my name really appeared in the results. I am glad that through school organizational activities and other things related to me like PCCRP and Animo Teatro, I have extablished my online identity. Connections/Socialization to people are also important. My blogs and other related posts in the cyberspace are also important in establishing my online identity. The following are screenshots when I googled myself.

Change+Automation= costly and expensive/profitable and productive. I think this is true, because changes in technoloy is very fast,in result new machines that made our current machines obsolete. Even though it is still working, someday somhow you'll be thinking of adopting the new technology that could give you more than you're old one.

I could say that this might be expensive like on my sister's company they change all their computers every 3 yrs. because of the software and applications they're using. They have to change it so that they could work faster also because they are progmmers they should have computers with higher specification to support the applications for programming.

Although this is expensive, It has also advantages like they could work faster that their employees could finish all their assignments and be productive. this means that they could earn a lot of profit if all the works are in cotrol and going smoothly according to plans.

Because technology is really making a mark today, there are many changes. but these changes can actually be a success or a failure. In our last lecture, one of the focus was the responsibilities of an IT manager. On that part, I can say that the presence of an IT manager is really, really important.. kung wala SIYA, what do you think will happen to the world that is really "technologizing"...? Siguro, lalong worst ang mga mangyayari.. baka lahat pirated n at wala ng licensed!! baka wala ng privacy and security dahil lahat na-hacked na..

How important is ‘Information Technology’ to us, as individual, to the businesses, to the IT Managers specially and many more? We know that we really invest more on IT because in today’s generation, you should be aware and updated with the technologies. ‘We should not be left behind it!’

From our previously discussion, we talk about problems that an IT Managers might face, such problems like the loss of sale, inefficient sale, incorrect transactions, securities, and a lot more. In my opinion, I think that the major problem that an IT manager will be facing together with the company he/she is working is the ‘upgrading of their IT infrastructures’.

An example for this will be the story of SUN LIFE FINANCIAL, a leading international financial services organization providing a diverse range of protection and wealth accumulation products and services to individuals and corporate customers. Their story was their IT Infrastructure particularly the Network Infrastructure was already not up-to-date or no longer enough to the user applications we are using these days.

"Our 10-year old routers had seen better days. In fact, we already received notice from our vendors that they would not be able to provide support if the machine bogged down. There's really no other way to go but to upgrade,” IT Manager Roy Tyapon, SLF explained.

What they did is they change from routers to Wi-Fi and Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS). MPLS is a technology that erased all the speed and network connectivity problems posed by the old network setup. Since they use a combination of new technology, their users must me familiar with it. So what they did is they conducted a series of orientations for them to be familiar with the new technology they’ll be using. If they still continue with their 10-year old routers another problem may come to them, and that is loosing the support of their vendors.

In their story, it pointed out that a problem may result to another problem if it will not be solved urgently. But, let us remember, that ‘for every problem, there’s always a solution!’ It’s just that it needs a great decision making and that will be the challenge for every IT Managers out there!

As an IT manager before you take it to the next level or tried to get a new system, you must first try to analyze and evaluate the current system you have. then if think the current system you have still have the ability to cope up with the changes in the industry you're into and also it still productive to your company you can just try to enhance it or add features that could make it more productive and efficient. But if not then you should try to adopt a new system.

there are things to consider when you are going to adopt into a new system like trainning for your employees. these is a must because these are the people who are going to use your system. they must know what are the uses of different functionality of that system. they should alos know how the system work so they could work faster and efficiently.

Also you must see if the system you have if flexble and also reusable. this means you can use it for a long time and also it can be use by other department.  this should be also easy to use so thatthe employees wouldn't have hard time in using it.

"Iba na talaga ang nagagawa ng technology ngayon pero marami pa ding problema.." As we all know, many people now are depending on technology because (maybe and I think) it has "magic" that does everything... However, when problems came, IT people, specifically the information managers, are just the ones resolving it or the ones who are responsible on it.. For that particular scenario, "siguro kelangan ding magkaroon ng responsibility ung mga tao kc konti pa lang ngayon ang mga IT managers.." just imagine this, "millions of users of technology who gave problems to be solved by only hundreds or thousands of IT managers".. mahirap syempre yon db?!!

AT class I just get curious about the features that could be added to our mobile phones. I just thought before mobile phones, are not very popular or not that very common for people because there are landlines, camera and its too expensive to have one. But as years gone by mobile phones became common and it is very portable and useful gadget to everyone. now it comes with camera, bluetooth, you can send sms and call for communication. It became very hi-tech today. As I can see they tried to be inovative in such a way they combine the features of a PDA and mobile phone that is more convinient to the businessmen and to other. I think the best thing you can put into a cellphone is a detector or alarm that makes a loud noise if someone tried to steal it or makes a tone if t was misplace,.. I think this one is cool as well as secured!

but not all new things in the market are patronize by the people, not all of them try to switch into a new brand and replace the brand they used to have. One good example of that is when Sun cellular was introduce to the market others tried to switch but others didn't because they are use to the brands they have and they are still satisfied with service they get from globe and smart.
