Our task for week 11 is to post our week 6 presentation of our web 2.0 (6 plus and 6 minuses) to slideshare.net. For week 12 I uploaded an mp3 file of my "voice dub" of the slides in my slideshare. I made some adjustments onsite so the slides and the sounds are synch. Please click the following link to slideshare .net..

Moneytrackin

I switched from marketing 2.0 to utilities 2.0 because majority of the websites for marketing 2.0 has some fees. Check it out it might be useful to you. Thanks..

Utilities 2.0

Moneytrackin' is a free service to track your personal finances in an easy way. It provides a lot of tools for analysis and social capabilities to share budgets with people who spend money with you

What kind of Web 2.0 site is it?

Moneytrackin is a utility web 2.0. It is an online expense calendar
and planner that offers the ability to input transactions, set up recurring transactions,
import data from Excel, and view reports in a few formats. I’m about as good with money
as I am with other things so I’m always ready to take on the task of managing my finances, but the web world has yet to offer me a one-stop solution to budgeting and finance that I can actually use without difficulty. I decided to see if Moneytrackin’
was the key to my future financial success or not.

Who are the intended users of the Website?

It is intended for businessman who wants to keep track of their financial transactions.

What are its features? (E.g. Tools that are useful)

Moneytrackin' is a free online webapp that allows you to track all your expenses and
income easily and without effort, thus allowing you to have a clear view of your financial situation.
It intends to be a simple yet powerful online budget management tool

MAIN FEATURES:

    * Log all your transactions (expenses/income) and tag them to organize them better
    * Keep informed of your financial situation at a glance, viewing at any time where your money goes
    * Control as many accounts/projects as you want
    * Periodic transactions
    * Easy AJAX interface with a lot of usability improvements
    * Auto-complete feature tagging transactions
    * Access through encrypted connection (HTTPS)
    * Anonymity, we respect your privacy and don't need any personal data to create a new account
    * Export project data to a CSV File, ready to print
    * Complete tools for easy take control of your data (edit, delete, etc.,)
    * Support for 48 international currencies. Their value is updated every 6 hours
    * Multi language (Now it's translated in 7 languages) Translate!

What are its strengths? It's weaknesses?

If the user is well versed about the features then he can really appreciate its usefulness in
his everyday life especially for businessman who transacts a lot. The data and transactions that were allocated using this utility is secure. However familiarity takes time and if the user is not familiar with the utilities involved then he will have a hard time appreciating it.

How can it be useful for business? Can it match any existing Website's service features?

It is very useful in business wherein you can  Share your projects to other users, either with readonly or readwrite rights. It's designed for groups or associations that have joint budgets, expenses and income.

Community online translation tool that allows moneytrackin users to translate the application in other languages without effort.

It can match any website's service features by demonstrating uniqueness and reliable service.

The film “Coach Carter” is about basketball players who are too liberated, they don’t care about their future, instead they live life as it is. They survive mostly on luck and the only thing that matters to them is BASKETBALL, sad to say but true, this is brought about by the kind of school and community they live in, with all the dangers and temptations around only half of the students graduate, and according to them 7 out of 10 go to college.

People of high ranks in the school doesn’t care where their students go after graduating, they don’t even have the guts to try encouraging students to go to college. The students or basketball players way of thinking changed when Coach Carter came, they were trained like professional basketball players, they were disciplined in all aspects, and most of all they were taught to aim high such as graduate college and be different from those of their neighbors.

The film has inspired me, I believe that I am lucky to enter a good school that prioritizes good education than extra curricular activities. I hope it continues to be this way.

I am too afraid to admit that peer pressure has become one of my problems, I mean, I am too scared or afraid to be left-out. Of course, who wouldn’t be? I’ve encountered so many trials and I am mostly afraid of facing them and wouldn’t how to get over it, good thing I have friends and family to help me, because if they’re not around, maybe I’m already messing up my life. I don’t know the right words to explain what my problems or fears are, because whatever I do, it always seem to be one of the hardest questions, knowing that I’m facing so many problems.

i've heard some rumors that SM Hypermart is to be put up either where the palengke (Paseo de Santa Rosa Country Market) is or where Sandra's Language Learning Center is (the vacant lot in front of Mercury Drug, after the stoplight). Henry Sy simply can't get enough! now that's what you call a real entrepreneur.. kudos!

just a couple of thoughts..

-what makes Starbucks Starbucks?

-what does it have that make people want more?

-is their coffee really that good?

-is it the relaxing and comfy ambiance?

-or just a place to be seen?

it just so happens that i spot fellow La Sallians there everytime i go to Paseo during weekdays.. mere coincidence?

Computer Application Software

First of all, the word "software" according to Wikipedia is defined as a collection of computer programs, it is sometimes used to describe electronic media content, which embodies expression of ideas such as films, tapes, records and a lot more. Electronic media content is defined as media used to operate electronics or electromechanical energy for the user to access the content.

Application software may be considered as a subclass of computer software, it uses the capacity of a computer directly and thoroughly to a task that the user needs to execute. Examples of which would be:

Microsoft Word is the engine behind letters, memos, reports, newsletters and school assignments.

Microsoft Office Powerpoint is a powerfull tool to create presentations and slide shows, it allows you to construct presentations from scratch or by using the easy to use wizard.
